Update - September 25th, 2021:I bought this car seat 7 years ago, and it's still being used and in great condition! Since I wrote the original review I got a chihuahua mix puppy, Bella. Her and Elvis rode together in the car seat for the last 5 years, since she was a pup. They would even curl up and sleep together in it, however Elvis crossed over 5 months ago. We just adopted another full grown chihuahua mix, but Bella won't share her car seat with him. I came back to buy him his own, but they are not available. This car seat is the best thing I could have ever gotten for my dogs!Original post - October 2014:I received this car seat, yesterday, just as promised. I installed it in my car, in the passenger seat, took me about 4 mins. (I don't know what the guy who couldn't read the instructions, was all about) (And there was no smell, like others stated!_ I got the tan w/ brown lining. My dog is only 13.5 lbs. He is a Chinese Crested Powderpuff, and is about 14" from floor to top of his shoulder, 15" from back of bum to front of body, and about 18" from floor to top of his head. I thought this may be helpful to others, as to the size. It fits him, perfectly, he can lay down, very comfortably, & doesn't need anymore room. He is used to sleeping on soft things, so I popped into Walmart, in the pillow isle, they sell a travel pillow for $3.48 & a travel pillow case for $2.24. It fits perfectly in the bottom of the seat, and makes it nice and soft for him. It also propped him up a little, so when laying down, he can rest his head on the side, and watch me! LOL! As far as the giant caribeaner clip, and yes, it is giant, but you can buy a smaller one at any hardware store, for about .50 cents, and replace it. The only problem, we had, was when attached to the carabean clip, he tried to turn around, to lay down. This did not work for us, at all! I had to pull over, and unhook it. Which was no problem for us. He stayed in the seat, all while driving, even when I was in the grocery store and Walmart. He took right to it, and he thinks it's a pretty sweet ride, so do I!
