I just recieved the cages. Just as I expected. The cages do not twist to make any difference when I tried by hand. These do looked like they will work perfectly. The ONLY product negative I see, is that there are 17 screws in stead of 18. Even with that, I am happy and would buy again. I really do not understand the negative reviews as my experience is a complete 180.It looks nice, they are sturdy, and really provide a lot of options to manage our cables. They come with some ties, and it's helpful. The design is very flimsy but it works. I definitely would recommend pre-drilling holes for the screws because they will snap off if you try driving them in without holes and you don't get any extra screws in the box. I mainly purchased this basket design because of the many access points available to fish cables through and places to attach cords with Velcro straps so that everything wasn't sitting in the basket. Doing this will help distribute the weight and keep the screws from possibly detaching over time. I had used industrial Velcro at first to prevent ruining the underside of our expensive tabletops with screw holes but the rounded edges on the metal wire frame design kept pulling the adhesion away. In the past we had cut apart plastic milk crates and so the Velcro was way more adhesive to the flatter portions of those crates than to this kind of design. If you need something in a hurry that works and you don't mind using screws this product will do the trick.I have a wooden standing desk that cost me over $500 so I was VERY wary of drilling into it. I used extreme caution and it worked out great! I recommend checking and double-checking the size of the drill bit that you use. I used one that was very close to the size of the screw (when in doubt, go with the thinner bit first). I marked the length of the screw on the bit by placing tape on it so I wouldn't accidentally drill too far into the desk. All I had to do was just stop at or before I reached the tape on the drill bit.It came with plenty of screws which are wide enough for the gap in the wire basket where the screws are meant to go. Because of all the screws, this thing isn't going ANYWHERE which is good because I currently have two fully loaded surge protectors in it. The open side was helpful since once everything is plugged in, I had to kinda just shove everything into the basket so it would fit. The fact that it's wire and not solid meant that I could easily use velcro cable ties to secure loose wires to the underside of the desk.Taking it apart will still be a bit of a rat's nest situation. That wouldn't be the case if you took more time than I did to really keep everything clean, but the point of this basket in my case was to just get all the loose cables and plugs off the ground so the floor and wall under the desk are virtually empty. I highly recommend this product.I researched cable management wire baskets/trays for over a week. I looked all brands and all types. One think I knew I wanted was an open design in two pieces instead of one, and there is good logic for that. You need to keep the center portion of the underside of your desk free of any accessories in the event you want to purchase two monitors with a "desk clamp." monitor arm. This particular brand served the purpose quite well.As you can see in the pictures, they blend in nicely with my black APEX 47" pneumatic desk. I have reserved center space for the installation of the desk clamp mounted dual monitor arm which is coming soon. The trays are light weight with a nice flat area for your power accessories. Now, I was a little concerned about the length of the wood screws might penetrate the top portion of the desk, therefore I used THREE included washers, and only two screws per tray. This setup worked perfectly and I can't be any happier with the end result.I now will have everything under the desk nice and neat and off the floor. You also get two tie straps too! I recommend this product, it is well made, nice paint job, and sturdy. The two screws per tray hold it nicely. I only have four holes on both of them. I didn't want multiple holes on the underside of my desk. Five stars for this product for price, design, and quality. :-)Working from home, I need a clean desk, and having a dog, I need a clean floor. This solved both of those problems. Super easy to put on my desk and it's now holding my docking station, power supply and my cables. It's got a little wiggle to it, so I wouldn't put much more than that in there.I was able to move the mess of cables and a/c adapters off of my desk, or from hanging off of my desk, to a nice concealed spot under the desk. Made things a lot tidier. Easy to install with the supplied hardware.Brought this after seeing the reviews and the videos. The product arrived with 2 cable straps as in the description. But utterly shocked to see that there is another SKU that exists with 25 cable straps with less price. I am going to return this now and buy the other one. But such a waste of time.First off it’s a bit pricey for what it is BUT it works. Feels solid when screwed in place using the handy cardboard packaging templates. From looking at the pictures I couldn’t tell if it would be sturdy enough to hold anything let alone an extension and numerous plugs. But I’m glad I got this. Perfect cable tidy solution. We used this product to tidy up the work desk wires. It is so much neater now. A little tight for a double layer extension lead but so much better not kicking it on the floor. It looks really neat and tidy now as we operate dual screens so lots of wires.Easy enough to install, put have a power strip with an ac adapter in at and be prepared for a battle as there is not enough clearance between the bottom of the basket and the top of the desk you attach them to......I would say they are expensive for what they are......Not that good in comparison with what's available on the market. Gaps are way to small, not allowing the flexibility to use plugs with different shapes and not good for the storage of bulky extension leads. Cheap product that is packaged well.Decent wire tray, terrible screws. Seriously - do not use the screws, they snap off and you can’t take the broken part out of the desk. Just buy separate wood screws and you’ll be fine.
